Be Your Own Best Friend

This MSC Practice course is an empirically-supported 8-week (in-person) or 10-week (online) training program designed to cultivate the skill of Mindful Self-Compassion. It is developed by Kristin Neff, PhD, a pioneering researcher in the field of Mindful Self-Compassion (www.self-compassion.org), and Christopher Germer, PhD, a leader in the Integration of Mindfulness and Psychotherapy  (www.mindfulselfcompassion.org). Based on their ground-breaking research, MSC Practice teaches core principles and practices that enables you to respond to difficult moments in your life with kindness, care and understanding.

This MSC Practice course includes approx. 2 1/2 hours over an 8 week period (in-person) or approx. 2 hours over a 10 week period (online) – approx. 20 hours in total. Each weekly session includes meditation, short talks, experiential exercises, group discussions, some movement, and home practices. You will have access to course material. Between the sessions, you will be able to have short chats with the instructor. MSC Practice is all about the practice. We want you to directly experience self-compassion and learn practices that evoke self-compassion in daily life. MSC Practice are committed to provide a safe, supportive environment for this process to unfold, and to making the journey interesting and enjoyable for you.

No previous experience with mindfulness or meditation is required to attend MSC Practice. 

This MSC Practice 8-week or 10-week program is offered in person and online to 8-12 participants.

We start the in-person and the online MSC 8-week and 10-week course every second month. We usually start the course on a Tuesday or a Saturday depending on participants preferences.

The community of trained MSC Teachers through CMSC Centre of Mindful Self-Compassion include more than 2,000 trainers spread all over the world. The course run in English or local language.

The normal price for this MSC Practice 8-week and 10-wee course is €350. At MSC Practice we are aware of the current increasing financial challenges, and we offer the course at a special price of €160 in person or €130 online. If you cannot afford paying this special rate, we have a few concession places on this course as we don’t want to exclude anybody from our courses.
